Dotco scribe..

Post by Brand X »

Looks like another good option on a scribe tool.. I found some on E-bay for $90.00 shipped, used but mint shape.. I do like how quiet it runs, and never have to oil it.. http://www.ebay.com/itm/141841816271?_t ... EBIDX%3AIT
Looks like I will be able to add a marker for about $300 total cost using Ebay, and http://www.automationdirect.com/adc/Sho ... Components

I mounted the scribe in a old torch holder that came with my torch. Just used the fiberglass piece, and a compression electrical conduit fitting on the scribe.. (perfect fit) I am leaving the quick connect, because the Scribe can be used hand held real easy that way..Just waiting on the e-bay air table to mount the pen...

What type of replacement tips does it take?
Dynatorch 4x4 SuperBee, Powermax 65, Quincy QT-54, Snap On MM250SL, Thermal Arc Arcmaster 185, Corel Draw X7 and a messy garage.

I am not sure if it will be ideal for everyday scribe work, pretty small sharp point.. Nice clear small lines though.

It's not bad at all.. Just tying a few jog moves with the key board.. Just a lot of fine tuning at this point. It's fine for laying out points at this stage.. Mostly what I want it for..(to punch perfect holes)

Kind of Nice I don't have to call anyone up, and send money to get my scribe working. (Other companies setup, which will remain nameless) Sheetcam has it all there..
