Kind of OT. Making tools for automotive

Ok I needed to replace the waterpump on my Tahoe. There is a fan clutch nut tool that is sold on the market. My local NAPA did not have one in stock and I did not want to pay and wait anyway. I made these the old school way as my table is not ready yet. Still building. I measure the nut and machined the wrench on the bridgeport mill. I made the spanner too. TIG'd it altoghher and it worked out perfect. I am sure once I get my table up and running I can make these but probably not worth it.

i tigged some short pieces of drill rod in the spanner i made to do that job.

After getting the pulley off and seeing the .200" holes and measured the spacing and going to modify the spanner too. For a rainy day.

I just welded a foot of scrap roundbar to the pully put a wrench on the clutch and done...
Waterpump is a throwaway anyway, no core...

I use a air hammer on those clutch fan nut's,Comes off in 2 seconds flat!

I have used that method but do not like putting gouges on my nuts. LOL.
