Copper patina with stainless backer question

I'm working on a piece that is two pieces . The front is steel coper patina . The backer will be attached to front and is stainless . I was gonna tack weld them together . If apply copper fx to the front ,what will it do to the stainless?

Most SS alloys are totally unaffected by the COPPER F/X™. I usually get 304 or 316, and they're both "immune" to my patinas. There are other exotic SS alloys that may have enough iron and/or carbon in them, that they might be stained a little.
