Steel FX for my cabinet project

Post by littlefatbuddy »

I was asked if I could make some metal inserts for cabinet doors. I came up with these two using Steel FX. It isn't any of that really awesome plasma cut stuff that has these patinas but was a neat project. I did the whole kitchen for a new construction house. I actually ended up going with a color that was somewhere in the middle of these two. These were the test pieces to show the homeowner and builder what it would look like. Nice money maker as well. 18 gauge, cold rolled, Steel FX patinas and sold them for $42 each. The smaller ones above the stove and refrigerator were $30. I did install them but simply waited until they were stained and then set the panels in the frame and used a glazer point gun to secure them.
