About to pull my hair out

Can someone who uses Inkscape on a regular bases please contact me, my boss is about to blow a lid. I can't get DXF files to show up and NOTHING I am am trying is working!!!! Can't do a fill on a GIF either even though I got it too work once and lo longer will, GRRRRRR!
