Fried Voltage Control Board

Post by needforspeed »

I have a TD Cutmaster 101. I have it hooked to a Torchmate Table with voltage height controller. For no reason the resistors on the voltage control board fried. I called Tech and they said that I needed a new board I though it might have been that I didn't have the work grounded. Got the new board and installed and it went up in smoke. I am wondering if there is a problem with my height controller. Any ideas would be helpful as tech is shut down for weekend.

I called Torchmate and they said I should be taking my voltage readings off the Work and Torch outputs of the board. They said work is negative and Torch is +. I called TD to confirm and they told me Work + and Torch is -. I have not confirmed with meter. TD said I was overloading the board I still wonder if this is my problem? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Great forum lots of useful info. Thanks.
