Losing steps and my sanity Rtech plasma table

Post by JUSTDAN »

I have a Rtech 4x4 unit ( uk )
It started by losing steps in the X axis !
Now loses and gains steps on every axis as and when it pleases !
I had 1 grub screw on the pinion gear lose in my y axis ! Replaces all pinion , returned motors ! And it's still going stupid !...... all connections are clear! All bearings are clean !
Even the steppers on the Y axis will move at different speeds at times yet all are turned to the same speed !!!

Its a MACH3 based unit with THC from (I think) Vietnam . i recognize the custom buttons I did years ago for our MACH3 screens for plasma. No idea what they are using for motor drivers and that is probably where the trouble is.
