Lead in arc or straight

Post by Rediron Design »

Reid T

I am getting more familiar with SigmaNEST and I see a lot of options for lead in's. I see it can add arc lead in, straight lead in, alter the length, radius, angle, position, etc. Generally what type of lead in is best to use?

One of the members here posted a document created by Jim Colt from Hypertherm that gives some good inside on this topic. http://www.plasmaspider.com/download/file.php?id=13877 Have a read and experiment with what you learned and let us know how it works out. SigmaNEST will give you a host of lead in options to choose from and when you find what you like, you can save that as a default by clicking the "Save as Default" checkbox under the part preview in the upper left corner. It will then apply your favored lead in combination to every dxf you open automatically every time.
