Need help to identify a wire plug not connected near torch

Post by inspectweld »

I have the Torchmate 3 torch height controller box and set up and the torch height doesn`t work properly.
I bought this machine used and cannot get in touch with the previous owner to ask about the problem I'm having.
I looked at the owners manual and the wiring is in place on the power supply. (Hypertherm Powermax 1650).
I noticed a wire plug near the torch that is not connected to anything, just dangling there and I figure this might be the problem.
I wanted to know if any of you might be able t help me here, thank you

I did find out what the unplugged wire is in case anyone wants to know. It is plugged in to a calibration device during manufacturing for calibrating the torch head and is not used to actually operate the machine.
