newbie notes!!!

Post by EmilyPrez326 »

I'm learning to get use to the TorchMaster Program. Not even sure where to start! Any help to assist me in how to get more familiar with using the program?

Are you talking about the TorchMate CAD, or the actual cutting program?

Which torchmate cutting program? I had to self teach myself as well. I downloaded the manuals, read them front to back while doing every step they did on the program myself. Then I watched tutorial after tutorial just starting with the basics. There are some great tutorials on pretty much everything.

The cutting program is pretty much set it and forget it. If your drawing is good, usually all I do is make my toolpaths and then export from TorchmateCAD, then import it into Torchmate, check my zero position with the torch on the table, if it is close to anything else I will run a test pass (torch off) and if all is good, cut.

When I bought my Torchmate 7 years ago I had NO experience in cuttung metal, machines, software...nothing. It seemed pretty easy, and any problems I had I called Torchmate tech. I was calling them ALL the time for the first week lol Now I have a strong business, and I owe them a LOT!
