A few circuit boards. Nothing special, but if you think you can go buy them yourself it won't happen. It's all made by flashcut cnc

Not sure if this will help you Terry, it's the control box insides on a TM2 I bought to set up for a specific job.
Hope it helps.

Thanks Murray THAT is exactly what I wanted to see. What I am looking into is taking out teh USB/serial FlashCut motion card and install a UC400eth then hooking all teh drives back up. The new UC400eth has very goog THC functions and very smooth motion.

No problems Terry, glad I could help. If what I'm doing works out I'll probably end up replacing all the controls with Gecko G540 and Mach3 and if I need height I'll go Neuron again. Too busy to play with that though at the moment.

I am think that I can replace teh PCB plug teh drives back in , plugin a UC400eth and be about ready to go with ethernet from the PC to the control box.

This could really benefit teh older serial based controllers. And being able to reuse teh drives is a plus. THEN for THC you can add in a thc controller. The really nioce thing about teh UC400eth is teh THC UP/DOWN is NOT a bang bang event. That can make the motors a LOT faster in THC control.

Just a thought, (;-) TP

Sounds like a lot of work and testing involved. For those that want to upgrade the older Torchmate machines without re-engineering the electronics (as vmax549 is looking at)....Flashcut has retrofit equipment that that can add height control, ohmic contact and great new operating software that will breathe new life into a Torchmate machine. Check them out! Jim Colt

have you ever seen a printed set of electrical schematics for the older torchmates
I am looking at interfacing a low powered laser unit to engrave wood to enhance my artwork
the laser runs with g code to turn it on/of with the ability of controlling pulse width
