Need some help with my Torchmate Classic 4x8

Post by ILOVEYOURBACKPACK »

Firstly let me say that I have nothing but problems with the Torchmate Classic 4x8 that was purchased in November. Since I have had thing table I have been constantly on the phone with tech support. Nothing but good experiences with their team. Just sucks to be a Beta tester for a machine that costs so much.

But I digress I am now having trouble with the cutting itself. On pretty much all rounded cuts I am getting minor jumps in the torch head. I will link some photos. Any help would be appreciated

Make sure all your belts and gears are tight, check for debris in the gear rack, and make sure you don't have to much pressure between the drive gear and the gear rack. What speed are you cutting at?

On my torchmate I had to much pressure between the drive gear and the gear rack in a couple spots and whenever the machine would pass through those spots it would lug the drive motor down a little then it would lunge ahead when coming out of it and would be cutting in the wrong spot.

By chance have you ran that same program with the torch off,and at a slower speed so you can watch and maybe see what's going on?
