New in CNC need Z axis for my Torchmate 5x10

I know very little about my CNC table but learning. My table dosn't have a auto Z axis so my torch hangs up. If i add
a auto Z axis will that fix that. where can I get a auto Z axis . Need Help. thanks johnd123

John I think what you are talking about is call "floating head" Which has a free sliding mount for the torch and a switch used to sense when the torch touches the top of the metal. Some of the table vender's sell as an assembly that you could mount on your Z axis. You could also search the web and find info on building one yourself or ask for help.

I am pretty sure Torchmate would have a bolt on kit for you. I would try there.

What you need is an AVHC it's a height controller from Torchmate they are around $2500.
5x10 Torchmate 2 w/AVHC
Hypertherm PM85 w/ machine & hand torch.
