Torchmate cable carrier?

Post by gamble »

Anyone got a link for one that isn't over priced for the gantry? I have been searching for hours. I even bought 3 or 4 of them. Either way tooooo big or too small. Someone linked me to one and I used it on the side and it works great, but the seller has no more. I can't even begin to explain how many issues these things have fixed for me!

I stumbled across this site a couple of days ago. Wish I would have seen it before spending 2 1/2 times as much on same or similar cable carrier pieces.

I'm also eyeing a motor upgrade from this site. 380 oz motors for $52 seems pretty dang reasonable.

I will check it out. What length do you need? And any pics of the torchmate brackets that came on yours?
What is the advantage to a motor upgrade? Just being able to do faster speeds? I thought the torchmate was rated to 500ipm?

Amazon has many cable carriers. Seach cable carriers. The product detail will give the size in inches as well as metric.
I just ordered some but they are on backorder which is no big deal for me.

Note sure if you are replying to me. However I only ordered a 2ft section from them to make sure it will fit my needs. If not, 18 bucks is no big deal. If it does fit I will order more.

let me know please. I've spent a lot more than $18 lol
I've also been toying with the idea of making a "boom" like the plasma cam but can't come up with a good design.

Look at the Torchmate manuals on line for mounting ideas. All of their's are pretty simple. Just buy some some cable carrier chain some place cheap and build your brackets to suit.

That is exatly what I am doing. I do not have a Torchmate table. I have a PPLC kit and at the time it did not come with the cable carrier option. I am making my own option. I will update my table build in my post when I get there.

This is what I used. Warning they are kind of wide. The manuf. specs show otherwise. I may have to make some new trays.
