Pcam Ohmic sensor wire

over the weekend .. I had the misfortune of breaking the component in the wire that connects to the Ohmic sensor .. what xactly is it ??? (resistor) im guessin ??? I'm sure it should be available locally and jus soldered back in line .. currently running DHC II with DHC Designedge .. thanx

Best bet is to go to the Plasmacam owners community on their website. I'm sure one of the thousands of owners that share info on that site will help you out in a few minutes. You do have to join to post on that site....you will need your machine serial number to do so. Jim Colt Hypertherm

It is a resistor, but since I have never broken mine....I'm not sure of the resistance. I'm thinking it was 470 ohms...

as always .. Thanx U Jim C .. took old broke down to electronics store and decoded the colored bands and back up and going again .. wish I could get some curly q wire to replace that lil piuece .. lol

Something like is can be repaired with a few items from the hardware store typically. Its pretty much consists of a wire connected to a diode, protected by some electrical shrink tube and a spade connector on the end. Best bet is to either call plasmacams tech line for any specifics. As mentioned previously, plasmacam's owners community could also be helpful.
