Parts Resource

Post by elkriverfab »

I have a quick question.

Does anyone know where I can find another parts source for plasmacam machines?

I had read some articles in the past and spoke to an individual a few years back that told me plasmacam purchased their X, Y, Z motors, bearings and so on, from a certain company.

Does anyone know who this might be?

A few years back I also spoke with someone from plasmacam that told me I could search for the parts on the web but they would not disclose who had them in stock.

I was just wanting to find a second source for replacement parts like belts, motors and things like that.

Are these parts available outside of plasmacam?

Any help would be great.

I am thinking of replacing the height control motor (DHC 1st model not the DHC 2) and wanted to look at my options as far as who had it available.

Thanks.

Thanks. Couldn't open the doc file so I changed it to a jpeg file. I just ordered a couple of limit switches for around $3.00 each from McMaster Carr... they're $9 each at Plasma Cam plus $12.54 shipping. Ordered one from Plasma Cam and they left it at their facility an extra day and had to reschedule shipping. It didn't work and crashed into my machine on the "Y" axis and broke. Made in Indonesia of course.

I'm trying to find a PlasmaCam DHC2 Z-axis replacement motor. Currently, mine is having no problems going down to touch the metal but it doesn't want to come back up. Can anyone help?
