PlasmaCam DHC2 - help with resale value

Post by Copper »

Hi. My father was a member of this community and unfortunately has recently passed. He has a 4x4 PlasmaCam DHC2 cutting table and plasma cutter Miller Spectrum 375 (pics attached). He also has a desktop computer with the PlasmaCam software. Although he bought the unit several years ago, it has only about 40-50 hours of use and is in great condition.

Does anyone have any thoughts on what the resale value would be?

We greatly appreciate any guidance on pricing and potential places that would give us the best exposure to sell.

Condolences to you on the passing of your father. This site would give you great exposure to sell it. Do you know what version of software is on the computer (3.11, DesignEdge, ect)? Also what area are you in? I sold my PlasmaCam DHC2 with 3.11 software a few years back when I bought a larger table. If I remember right I believe I sold it for $6000. That was for the table and software only, no cutter or computer.

Hi mdwalker. Thank you!

I looked for DesignEdge on the computer but it was not on it, just the PlasmaCam 3.11. It's located in Northern NV, near Reno/Lake Tahoe.

Look in the classified section of this forum, there are some for sale that could help you price yours.
But you will need to know what version of software you have for any interested buyer.

You could actually contact George in tech support at Plasmacam and tell him your situation. George can look up (with your Dad's name and the serial number from the data tag on the left front leg of the Plasmacam table) all of the software and any upgrades on their files....he also can instruct you on the owner transfer process (free, but necessary for the software). My condolences.....and good luck! Jim Colt Hypertherm
