I am looking at adding one as well. I was over on plasmapig and saw the post on mounting a dremel.

Can you use Design Edge for engraving? I get single line engraving, but what about engraving something a 1\2 inch wide.

Thanks for any info .

I talked to another machine owner about a year ago that set one up and mounted it on the carriage bracket along side of the plasma gun. He used Chicago pneumatic variable speed engraver (cost somewhere around $400), a dewalt air regulator with three outlets, a small cylindrical air piston (to hold the engraving tool down) and with a few custom brackets (made on the plasmacam): It sounded like he was in business.

Here is a video an plate marker on the plasmacam in action:

FYI, last I heard is that sometime in the next couple of months plasma my offer one. You might want to check in with them periodically.

Here's one that I'm working on. Waiting on air fitting and air hose.

when the oem designs a scribe they have to spec a air slide and solenoid valves that they can buy off the shelf and warranty
when we adapt what we can find off ebay or craigslist, we buy over stock or used at 10 to 30% of the original price
while some people don't mind the cost, most of us would rather go the diy route

i have less than $100 in my scribe setup, that would have cost bulltear $1000 to put together and warranty
if my solenoid valve goes bad i buy a new $12 solenoid off ebay
