powermax 1650

Just thought I'd check to see what the thickest anyone has cut with this plasma.
What is the thickest I can cut with this plasma. I think it is rated for 1.75" severance. If I put inch and three quarter plate up on the table, will it cut it and what can I expect?

You would not cut very many inches, and it would have to be an edge start. I limit ours to (CNC) 3/4" plate. Even that I use oxy now, I just installed a hi/lo system so preheat is nill. I cut for four hours today cutting 1/2" AR500 with one nozzle and electrode.

I pierce 1 inch all the time and can cut 1-1/4 from an edge...

A couple of years ago, I scored a job cutting a heap of 20mm plate, lots of holes.
I got the job done but, it cost me a bundle in consumables, also wrecked havoc on the original Samson grate system.
I ended up designing and replacing the grate system with an industrial style (used by many happy cutters) and, now limit piercing to 16mm.
