Just saw the Torchmate video of them building a welding table with the top plasma plate marked. I'd like to be able to do that. I have a Arclight with Hypertherm XP85 which I love.
I'm looking at the XP45 with the plate marking capability.
Has anyone done large scale plate marking with the plasma like that video shows? How does it turn out?

Re: XP45 marking use
I have done a fair amount of marking with the Powermax45 XP on plate....specifically for layout (weld locations, bend locations, center punch for drilling, etc.) it is very fast and works very well. The 45 XP power supply was designed with marking in mind. To mark you need low amperage output as well as a different gas (air or argon) flow rate for the most controllable result.

Thanks for the response Jim. I can see using the marking feature a bunch.
