Powermax45 power fault

Post by levesquea »

Anyone had this issue?

I bought a powermax 2 yrs ago... stayed in the box becasue i was moving my shop. I ran a new 240V circuit, dedicated to the cutter and when i turn on my power....i get the Orange fault light and I hear some buzzing... sounds like the boards are frying....lol

I connect my powermax 30 to the same outlet and it runs fine.

Could it be I have a bad machine. But after 2 yrs ... the warranty is certainly passed.

Thanks for your help or comments.

Have you connected the air supply?
You must have a good air supply connected to get the orange led to turn green + check out your consumables in the torch they can also cause an orange led
Best Regards to all

It does sound like low inlet air pressure according to the troubleshooting charts in the service manual. Are you sure something isn't plugging your air supply....? Jim Colt Hypertherm
