Re: WESTERN WALL SWITCH/OUTLET COVERS
the only system I personally know is Torchmate cad. with it, one would use the " weld " function to make it one object. if you wish let me see what you have and I would be happy to help.

A cowboy/girl hat might work also!
Save the DXFs, then try changing the hat creases or outline.
Playing with the drawing helps you to learn tricks!
In my previous post. at the top of the original cover plate, I did a line "BREAK" in my CAD program, imported a cactus image & pasted it above the plate, then joined the nodes between the 2 images.

Hay All
Maybe this will help some one. Hear is the blank wall plate templates, both standard and Decor so you can add any file you want to attach to it.

Re: WESTERN WALL SWITCH/OUTLET COVERS
How would one go about curving the edges, so the plates fit flush to the wall? Cut laminate dies, and do it in a press? Better ideas? I'd like to offer something with fitment more like a "real" wall plate.

I made a 2 piece die for my 25T iron worker, works great.

Re: WESTERN WALL SWITCH/OUTLET COVERS
Would you mind sharing info/photos on how you made that? Was it a laminate die, or did you mill it/have it milled?Bobcat320 wrote:I made a 2 piece die for my 25T iron worker, works great.

Re: WESTERN WALL SWITCH/OUTLET COVERS
Where I worked the sheet metal guys had one piece dies and a block of hard rubber about 4 or 5" thick for the top die. They just pressed down and formed parts with no scratches. Just a thought, saves making a top die.Bobcat320 wrote:I made a 2 piece die for my 25T iron worker, works great.

Re: WESTERN WALL SWITCH/OUTLET COVERS
Have a quick question about the outlet covers where it says 22" cut by the covers what does that refer to. The ones that fit my switch and outlet at my house are the ones that say 22" cut by them the other ones don't work. Was just curious.

Re: WESTERN WALL SWITCH/OUTLET COVERS
At a quick glance, I would assume it refers to the total inches of cut to make that part......
