Re: Whos file is this?
That is a composite of 5 different images from the signtorch super bundle, but someone else put it together, and as a rule I won't copy it and sell it myself without authorization. Sometimes I sure wish I could though, that is a nice one.superoverenginered wrote:if it is yours' Gary can I buy dxf from you?...

Re: Whos file is this?
first, thanks for the nice comments
no, sorry, CD only, that's just how they're licensed... the sheer number of files I have makes it difficult to access them individuallysuperoverenginered wrote:Is it possible if I bought the 5 individual files from you

Re: Whos file is this?
Yep...worth every penny. The Super bundle is listed as having 4698 designs....in 5 vector formats...for 88 bucks. That's less than 2 cents each. You can't go wrong like that.
Not that I want either of them to raise their prices, but both Gary (SignTorch) and Jason (Cascade) are way too cheap on their artwork.
And that's my 2 cents worth! LOL

Re: Whos file is this?
When I received the super bundle,I thought "what would i do with all these drawings?" seemed like only a few targeted files I would use. I am always suprised how often I use files I thought I would never use.
I am an industrial cutter by day and "art" cutter by night, so most of the fun stuff is personal or for favors/gifts and I still use both Jason's and Gary's files way too often.
So in a nutshell I second and third the "worth every penny"

I've got the superbundle, 2010, 2009, and the old essentials of Garys. They are AWESOME!

Re: Whos file is this?
When you buy the cd's (from Gary or Jason), you can use the images separately or in combination with others, to create your cut files. Cut one...cut 1000...sell them...or give them away. Just don't sell (or otherwise distribute) the artwork itself. ( ie. sell or give away the cut pieces, not the files.)

yes you can make and sell physical products, you just can't distribute (share) any digital vector products containing the productvickiegib1 wrote:if i bought the cd could i cut them and sell them? if not what can i do to sell them

Re: Whos file is this?
A Harley logo is a trademark, a symbol that represents the company, it is more like a word than artwork.
That's different from copyright, which covers creative artistic expression and the right to display (or perform) a work, whether it be art, music, movies, sculptures, etc.
It's not like you will always get in trouble for reproducing logos without authorization, but with companies like Harley it is a mark of quality and a seal of approval at the same time. Using it without permission opens you up to potential trouble, like if a competitor decides to report you.
Been there, done that, wasn't worth it......

Re: Whos file is this?
Harley is most aggressive with their trademark protection, but they realize there is a fine line.
What company would NOT want their trademark tattooed on a million people?
There are just too many people out there making a half-dozen things, to pursue. But if you show up at a large rally with a trailer full of things with that Bar and Shield, you'd better not be surprised when their lawyers slap a piece of paper in your hand.
I built a website for the Tennessee State HOG Rally a few years ago. I was surprised to find that I wasn't allowed to use any Harley-Davidson brand images on a Harley Owners Group site. They are THAT restrictive.
