Police stuff
For those that don't know it, I'm a retired cop. The guys at the station are asking me if I have any "cop stuff". Seems I have a lot of firefighting things but not many police items. Anyone have any they'd like to share I'd appreciate it.
On another note, who can do a drawing of my intricate police badge (for a fee) that I can change the rank and number in, and make them for the guys. I can take a better picture but this will give you an idea...
Thanks!!
Joe

Re: Police stuff
The letters are not in the DXF file, I would vinyl cut the grey areas, with letters cut out of the vinyl, and vinyl letters around the center circle. Then it'd be easy to customize the text.

Please let me know what I owe you ...
Not quite following you on the vinyl stuff..... Just cut the badge blank and use vinyl to finish?

Re: Police stuff
To be clear: If you're going to apply vinyl where the grey is then delete (don't plasma cut) the outlines that form the grey or else there will be a hole where the vinyl goes.... But save a copy of the grey (after scaling before deleting) to use for cutting the vinyl....FiveORacing wrote: Let me decide on a size and cut one

I draw on a lifetime of drafting practice with both pencils and computers.bigj121 wrote:Gary, you have some serious skills! Nice job!
Can you tell which image is hand drawn and which is CAD? (neither was traced from the other)
I was good enough at both pencil and CAD that you literally could not tell the difference (except CAD lettering was always near perfect and my lettering was always the worst part of my drawings), and vector art is like a mixture of the two. Some how, it just comes naturally to me and I like to do it....

Re: Police stuff
Couldn't wait to cut it.
24 x 36 buffed and clearcoated. I'm thinking of hand painting the letters blue.
Took me a while to letter it, so if all 200 guys (retired and active)in the department wanted one I think vinyl is how it's gonna be.
