Mermaid girl

Post by DXF »

My 9 year old Granddaughter downloaded this image, traced it in Inkscape and cut it with my Plasma Cam machine with very little help from Grandpa..... pretty smart Mermaid!

Thanks, I did. Kids today are way ahead of those before them in tech expertise. I let her do some wire welding yesterday.....all safety precautions taken. My dad taught me how to stick and TIG weld at 15 and work with sheet metal machines. We can broaden the opportunities of the next generation by sharing knowledge.

Tell her "great job", and "thank you"! Also, let her know my 6yo and 4yo daughters are going to have one just like it!

Here is how this will hang on the wall. I positioned the hangers 12.5" apart. I am including a dxf file of some sawtooth hangers and spacers I have used on different projects. I managed to get the Mermaid designer out of the water long enough for a pic.
