Moon to my Shine

Post by crbills »

First I want to thank everyone for all the great stuff in this forum. I look forward to learning and creating my own work but I have been able to use some of the designs in this forum to get rolling.

Here's a little something for everyone else. Enjoy!

What would be a fair price to ask for one of these cut in 16ga steel? If I go by the pierce/inch spreadsheet I usually charge for art it comes out to over $50. That seems like more than I would want to pay.

moon to my shine red.jpg
We did some of these up for Valentine's day and folks seem to really like them! Here's a pic of one we did in red. (We used metal cast paint and then clear coated.)

What size has anyone cut this out at?. I attempted 10*7 but all the smaller circles in the lid and the a completely dropped out. I'm an amateur to say the least and don't always have an eye to catch when it may not fit properly to keep the full design

We cut this at 14" tall, 8.5" wide. It is literally one of our best sellers. Many many thanks to the original designer. Very well done :)

I'm glad so many are getting use of the file. I have seen some of the larger companies now selling it.

I make them 12" tall and while we have powdercoated some my favorite is painting black then take sand paper and rough the edges and dull the paint. Gives it a more rustic look and turned out to be a very popular one.

Thanks so much Welding14 and crbills for the info. It is an awesome looking design to say the least. My hubby loved it when I pulled it up and wanted to cut it.
