How did you make out with the motorcycle jig?

These are the first items I cut on my table, I got a little bit of bevel but they should work out great, here are the pics, and thanks for the awesome files and posts!

Your squares look EXACTLY like Fireball Tool products. Have you gotten permission to use his designs? You should have at least given him credit for his design.

I can tell just by comparing the fire ball tools and hemichargers they aren't exactly the same(hemichargers has bolt holes n the side, and no tabs in the corners). Sure they're similar but it's a damn square.... hemicharger put a ton of thought and time into everything he's contributed here. I doubt those two guys are the only ones who've drawn squares like these

Thanks for sharing that I can use both designs now and come up with something that will work for my custom table :D

Special thanks for sharing how to draw such a complicated puzzle and make things work.

What has made this thread so valuable to all members has been the open exchange and discussion of ideas.
Carpenters and later metal fabricators, have been joining two or more pieces of wood or steel to form a 90 degree angle since the beginning of time.
Positioning two known angle devices to create a third angle probably came 5 minutes later, HMMM, I wonder if it is too late to apply for a patent?

Not a contributing member yet, so can't see the files, but curious if this has been redesigned for 1/4" thick plate? (I know others have already asked, but I didn't see an answer.)

Also, I'd love to get it laser cut but sadly down own one (or a plasma table). Any feel for what one might pay to have this cut at a shop? I'm located in the PNW.

hemichargersrt8 wrote: Fri Nov 24, 2017 10:38 pm Thanks and yes, the new table plans I posted some time ago use 16mm (.63") holes.
http://plasmaspider.com/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=23989
So just to clarify, all the files you listed for the table and the brackets in this thread use 5/8" holes but the files on the other thread you linked to in this post are setup for 16mm?

Thanks for all the work you've done on this. Wish I would have seen this post about $2k in weld table ago...

Definitely look like some spare time cutting going on here. We are hoping to add some of these pieces to our old table that has just has two holes drilled for an old vise - take on / take off.... I think my son won't know what to use all of them for so he'll have to just start welding stuff up out of scrap metal - lol. A big Thank you for the sharing. Would love to make this out of 3/8' or even 1/2" - no bracing required - just pure heat sink

hemichargersrt8 wrote: Sat Jan 07, 2017 8:27 pm here is one version I have drawn. I laser cut and carefully welded to reduce excessive heat. Because of the puzzle tabs, the table assembled very flat and stable. I will upload the accessories when I get a chance.

This is awesome and my first time commenting on anything. I see the post is rather old. I love the clamps and just now getting into the industry. Ive been working on truck for years. Taking plasma cutting up on the side is a ton of fun. However, my plasma table is only 4x4 for now. Is there a welding table that is 4x4? Again, I see this post is over 3 years old, just wondering if something new has come about?
Thanks for the help in advance.

Late to the party. Nice table thanks for the share. What size material are you guys using for the table top?

Thanks

I have several store bought tables and the tops are 5/8" thick. I think anything 1/4" and thicker would be fine, depending on the overall size and intended use.
