I love my CNC plasma....but have never been successful in cutting dimensional pieces with it...only art stuff. A bit hesitant to cut something like this when the laser already done for you option is already out there....

As for the sharing of the files, that is AWESOME!

Pretty neat. I'm still building my plasma table, but this would be a fun and useful project. I thought I'd add something about drilling out those holes. That always troubles me when I see that many.

"Hole Enlarging Drill Bit 5/8" http://a.co/1wLOTJ6

McMaster has a whole set: https://www.mcmaster.com/#drill-bit-sets/=16ama62

Without a mag drill, you might have a hard time holding onto a hand drill. Even though, you're just taking a shave.

What thickness material did you use, and did you have to modify the tabs/slots from the drawing for fitment?

Here is my test cut toleranced for 3/8". I have not cut a table yet, but the tabs, slots, and holes all fit together well on the test pieces that I did cut.

Bolt hole is .675"
Slot is 1.04" x .415"
Tab is 1" x .375"

Also made them dog bones so that the corners fit easy.

I used 65 amp consumables on my Hypertherm 85 set at 40ipm.

Yesterday I built a fixturing table from 15" wide 3/8 thick channel. I made some upright posts from 4x4 x .250 tubing for a motorcycle frame jig. I've also got some brackets for the kneck tube adjustment. Once I finish it all up I'll make a new post to share.

Here is the 2' X 4' table I have and the clamps I cut from the file here. I welded a hanger rail under the table for clamp storage.

For you guys using your plasma tables, are the holes cutting well enough? Or do you undersize them and use a cobalt drill bit to finish to size?

Mine cut where the thread fit but the shoulder won't that's close enough for me, its hard on drills and make sure (your) hole's fit before cutting something like this.
