FIRE PIT SVG FILE PLEASE!
I have downloaded every fire pit file off of here and not one of them works in inscape without 10 hours of work connecting all the lines. can someone please give me an SVG (not a DXF that's converted) of one of the 4 sided fire pits? thank you so much for helping me out...trying to finally get my "warm on" this spring

Re: FIRE PIT SVG FILE PLEASE!
thanks seajink but that one actually shuts down my inkscape completly with internal errors?

i have tried every file from this link but they all require so much work like putting lines together and it just seems like they're cut paths instead of the actual drawing?
thanks for any help you guys can give me!

I opened that file just fine with 0.91 version and in sheetCam too did have overlapping lines but they could be removed easily.

Re: FIRE PIT SVG FILE PLEASE!
steel35 yes it works in sheetcam but if you want to modify it at all in inkscape then it doesn't work at all because it is just hundreds of broken lines hence why it isn't a solid color in your screen shot.

Re: FIRE PIT SVG FILE PLEASE!
What size do you want it to be? Give me a dimension for one side, width across the top. I will scale appropriately.

Re: FIRE PIT SVG FILE PLEASE!
Its not the scaling thats the problem...i just want a blank slate of a fire pit like the one above that i can customize but every dxf is just broken lines and not a good file for my inkscape to work with. inkscape does not work well with dxf's apparently and only svg files? maybe i'm just not smart enought to make this work haha!

Re: FIRE PIT SVG FILE PLEASE!
This is one that I had in dxf and I had to load it in autocad and save in 2013 dxf format to be able to open in inkscape. try it and see.

thanks, That one actually works great (its still broken lines, but much easier to manage)...any chance you could do the same but for the one that you have to bend at the bottom instead of the extra feet( like the one pictured above...with or with out the details on the outer shell)?

Re: FIRE PIT SVG FILE PLEASE!
Here is the pit from above opened in inkscape cut the stars ect.
No other changes.
I did not see any broken lines may have some but for me they are noted by more then one start in a wanted line. You may want to experiment with group & ungroup? and don't wimper away from DXF there are way to many good ones one here that cut great with out changing anything yes some need a little something as this one does now.

Re: FIRE PIT SVG FILE PLEASE!
I opened the pit.svg in INKSCAPE ( the latest version ) and it opened fine. Maby you need to delete your current version and download version your old one might have a bug in it.
