Can anyone suggest the best size to cut this type of project as well as the best thickness of plate? I have never done one.

Here's one that's been rusting for 2-3 years.

I think you're right but I'm not telling anyone! I'm going with he's landing on the top of the pole and not diving for an attack. I'm pretty sure he's good with them either way. ;)

I like abmetal's eagle, anyone have this file to cut on 14 Gage material? I converted the mm down to the size I want it, but that's alot of "slots" to down size to 14 gage, after about 5 hrs on CAD I figured I'd ask.

Just grab each slot and scale it up to the size you want and trim. It does take awhile but not 5 hours.

Take no more than 5 minutes to do in plasmacam DesignEdge, give me the size that you want this to be scaled to and I will do it for you
  inches or mm, does not matter both the same, very easy process

Thanks

Nice eagle. Does anyone know of a 3D puzzle for a cougar? That is our school's mascot, and one cut would be pretty cool. Thanks

Go to the MAKE CNC website. That's where a lot of these 3D puzzles come from. We've bought a number of them. They're cheap.
