I have this jpeg of my signature I would like to cut out, if someone could help me convert it, it would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Re: help convert a jpeg to dxf
here is a SVG file I think it is about 16" long so if you put it into sheetcam use a 1 to 1 ratio unless you want it bigger.
If you use a smaller width pen it may come out clearer

Can't type out a detailed response (at work, hah) but you can use Inkscape to do this, or at least get you started. It's a free program, so that's always a bonus.
The steps go something like
-Open the jpeg in inkscape
-Select the jpeg on the screen and go to Path >> Trace Bitmap
-Honestly, play around with the settings on there. Sometimes Edge Detection works best.
-When you get something that looks good, delete the jpeg, and you should just have vector lines left.
-Save as .dxf
You'll have to tweak it, but you can get a very good starting point with this. There are tutorials on the net that are more detailed than this simple rundown, but hey, you know something to search for in the future.
