Collapsible rocket stove

Post by Masons Forge »

Here is my chance to give back. I made this for my brother because he helps with a group much like the scouts. He took the prototype to the camp and he said it was good because the younger kids with their fire badge could run it while the others looked for small sticks.
It is cut from 1/8" sheet and the grill or grate is 3/16

I am guessing that you want to edit with Inkscape, and then save as dxf to import to Sheetcam to create your tool paths? I'm not sure which converter you used, but I have used Convertio (free online file converter) and it has always done a good job for me.

I have recently discovered that convertio quite often has problems converting from dxf to svg format. I now use LightBurn to accomplish this conversion. LightBurn has a free download for trial period and costs only around $60 to purchase a perpetual license. It is a great program which I highly recommend.

I just jumped on the Lightburn band wagon, looking to add a laser to my table and a friend's table too. Bought a Neje A40640 dual module, 3-D printed an adjustable mount to go on the Z axis on the table. That will allow for different thickness of material or projects. Lightburn teaching an old dog new tricks. :HaHa :HaHa

That's awesome Tom! Surprised at how affordable it is, wish I had more play time I would pick one up to mess around with.
