Post by JoeyD »

Hey everybody. Here is a DXF file that I cut out for a customer's motorcycle shop. Bryant Henry converted this file for me and did an AWESOME job. Here is his email if you are interested in his work. idahobry at yahoo.com

JoeyD, I would like to personally thank you for sharing your Moto Skeleton file. I have cut several of these out, with modifications, for the motorcycle fraternity in the Seattle/Tacoma area. Something about it clicks with those crazy two wheelers! Thanks again and tell your Designer that he does great work.............Russ K.

Yes, this file was cut. I only posted the drawing not the cut paths. I use a Plasmacam and it turns out great!

I think there is a significant difference between what Plasmacam uses and what Sheetcam and Autocad can use. Lots of problems with the file for me, open nodes where the lead ins were and corners that crossed themselves. But it is a really cool design so I played with it for a while. Not sure I caught everything, but for those of you not using plasmacam take a look at this file, it may work a little better for you? I never was able to connect the lines, not sure what that is about.

JoeyD, thanks for the file - it is a very cool design. I will use it, for sure! Keep up the good work. :D

I connected a few extra starts and joined your layers, Sheetcam likes this one a little better thanks for the great start.

Joined layers - that is probably why I could not join the lines. How do you join layers?

I opened your file after playing with the first one and you made it way past me on rounding the edges! When opened in sheetcam there were 4 layers, I cheated and opened it in a Vcarve / Corel style program, selected all and clicked Join, there are almost 1000. Another trick I learned on this fabulous site.
