Flower fairy

Post by plain ol Bill »

OK folks - you seemed to like the last fairy I posted up so here is one I just finished a few minutes ago. Get it while it is still hot :) . When you cut it please post up a pic of the item so we can all see it.

That's some fine work, Bill.

What thickness (steel) would you recommend for this, if cut at about 4' (width).

Those wings look a bit delicate for a stand-alone setting. Up against a wall, I wouldn't worry too much about it and might even go with 14 ga.

Your thoughts?

Very nice but it comes out all goofy with my program (shop data systems).

Metal Troll,
Try this one. Some CAD systems just don't play well with others....

Bill,
I think you had some extra layers on, there were overlapping lines in the DXF. I got most of them removed. Cannot find a couple though. My software says there are still some extra contours in somewhere. No Problems though, Thanks again

AnotherDano I have not had a chance to cut this one myself as yet. If I were going to and especially 4 ft. wide I would likely go with 10 or 12 ga (and more likely 12 ga.).

Eric and Mollie I will go back in and look at this file again but I don't remember changing any layers or using and cut and paste while doing it either. Will let you know if I find anything.

EricandMollie I did find some duplicates in the file. I don't really have a clue what is causing this but will start looking for the reason. Until then if you use Sheetcam it will automatically find any duplicates and remove them before putting it into the program.

Bill,

This is a very nice looking design. Did you draw this yourself?

Jason some time back I collected a bunch of pictures of fairy's (fairies ?) and made the vector files from the pics using CorelDraw X4. I cut a couple of them for my wifes garden and thought to post them up here.

Great looking design and very much what I was searching for. As another member mentioned their were some double lines and some he could not find. I managed to locate them and delete them and have attached my edited version which should be good and clean.
