Here's a Mill Collett holder that's specifically designed to mount on the side of a CNC Vertical Mill (Haas VF series) You will need a bend/break. This will work well with 16ga/14ga HRS. The design looks slightly different from the picture. There's only one set of tabs to attach to the machine and the logo on top has been replaced with a length of metal that should be bent down to add strength, but you certainly could replace it with a logo of your choice along with the side CMD logos.

There's a shelf that's tack welded on to the bottom as well.

Grinder Rack

This bends easily and is then welded up. Bottom is expanded metal welded in place, keeps it from being a dust collector. Works well for our dewalt 4.5" angle grinders.

I powdercoat them in a single stage "Chrome" which is really just a silver not a two stage Chrome look.
I also do some in Black Wrinkle... The two end holes are 16" on center to fit stud C2C width.
I bend them in the sheet metal brake so there are no slots...

I also have a Visegrip rack that hangs them from the adjusting screw instead of the jaws.

ETA I make them from 18 ga sheet, works fine but I don't have the weakening brakeless bend slots.

What font style and software do you use for your letters?

I am new to this and my cad software only has one font style.

Thanks,

That font is a windows native font TTF (True Type Font) called Stencil or Stencil Std, both should be on your machine already.
You can do it a few different ways, if you have Inkscape (free) you can just create the text in something like Paint, then path trace it. Or just do it in Inkscape Directly, Or there is a program called Stencil Fonts 1.0, and a program called Desk Engrave with Desk Engrave you get the DXF path but you will have to tab your letters so they don't have dropouts yourself, even with Stencil Fonts you will probably have to make adjustments. with both Inkscape and CAD you will still have to tab them in yourself.

I have Stencil Fonts... you will STILL have to mess with the font to get the splines just right...
there is a website with fonts... http://www.1001fonts.com/search.html?se ... +&x=13&y=0

Here are a couple that I haven't seen in the thread yet. There is a rack meant for the top of a welding tank that I've seen around before, but not in the thread. EDIT: If it wasn't obvious, the dashed blue lines are indications of where to bend.

Tape Measure Holder
Holds around (10) 25-footer tape measures

Tape Measure Rack.dxf
Welding Tank Hooks
Great idea, but I can't claim credit for it. Hank your mask, wrench, etc.
Image
Welding Tank Hooks.dxf
Dust Pan
Dust pans are cheap enough to buy, but where's the fun in that.

Do you have a picture of the tape measure rack by chance?

You need a rack to hold 10 because even with just 5 people in the shop, there will be none around when you need one.

You don't even know!! In the school setting I think they "run" off sometimes! Worse part is I am sure the ones taking them don't even know how to read one!!

Figured I'd chuck these bottle tags in here, too. Anyone who's seen "a full bottle with "MT" written on it in paint marker might get some use out of these.
