here's a pic of something similar I did. Took the 3d star file a tweeked it with the compass rose file from here and come up with 3d compass rose/nautical star. This job does involve a little fabrication. Sorry for the poor pic and the dxf is on my shop computer if anyone wants it I can post later.

I just downloaded this file. It looks great. I imported it in to Corel and it was 714 inches a round. Is there a reason it was so big?

I not sure if this is why but I have seen different programs have different scales. So loading it into your program may cause it to be bigger then the original. I use turbo cad and when I load other DXF files posted here they can be very large. I put a select box around them and then reduce the box (with arrows on the outside corner) maybe a box is the wrong term.

Yeh... I didn't have a problem reducing the size. Just wondered if there was a reason it was so big. Thanks again for the file.

A lot of the files import in METRIC. If a part seems like it's way to big just scale it by .03937. This will change it back to inch. Hope this works for you like it works for me. 714mm X .03937 = 28.11 inches

Well, your welcome, and it was a trace of an image I had drawn, so I never did scale it in autocad, I've never cut it.

Depends on how it was CREATED... if the software was setup for "Unit=mm" then the image will be scaled in so many "Units" and that unit of measure is a mm... if it was scaled in "Unit=Inch" then it is scaled to 25.4 mm or x units or x inches... in sheetcam you can select metric or inch scaling.. I can take a DXF and scale it easily in Inkscape or any CAD software to be exactly how many INCHES I want it to be...
A lot of drawings I get from Clients are not scaled per se' but they are set as "Units=*" or wildcard... meaning that you can set it to whatever unit of measure you want... but it is not set in the file. so if I open it in CAD it can be tiny... but I can blow it up as big as I please without losing definition but if I open it in Sheetcam on inch it is only about as large as a football stadium, if I open it in metric it is only about the size of a walmart parking lot...

This is my first posting in this section so hopefully it works for everyone. I've had a few people asking for this so I might as well post for everyone. The four larger points get bent approx 82-85 degrees and the smaller points get bent approx 75-77 degrees. I didn't include any of the round circles as that is fairly basic and can be made any size to suit.
Thanks Mark
