Six degrees of separation? Now I'm a believer.

A couple of years ago, a homesick U/Wyo co-ed asked for a JD tractor (it HAD to be JD) with 'John Deere' where I usually put a name, Welcome or Wyoming. When asked if she wanted JD Green or Yellow, she said just flat black. Go figure. I just assumed she was a farm girl who missed her tractor and the farm.

Last Friday I met up with my son, and his neighbors who run a horse ranch just across the state line in Colorado. They asked if I'd come by and dropped off a sign with a JD tractor on it. Flat black with a 'John Deere' cut into it. Where else could it have come from? They said it was just leaning against the barn door when they got home.

I guess stranger things have happened, but your post sure was timely.

Now, back to your regularly scheduled thread - Sorry for the diversion.

cool file. my dad use to have one. they start with the side flywheel and had an idle that was so slow that it eas about to die. but these tractors were bulls and cud pull just about anything at a blistering top speed of 3 mph in their pulling gears. thanks for the share
