Setting for pierce?

Post by Probird »

My table will find zero , cut, move to next cut and not find zero, just go to pierce height and go, then next cut it finds zero.

How do i make it find z zero at every move?

Thanks for all the great info thus far.

You'll need to provide a little more detail so we know what you're running.

Set the ref distance in SheetCam to something smaller and it will touch off more frequently.
Options, machine, post processor, custom post options. If not there, you'll have to edit the post.

The RefDistance is a SheetCAM variable that has to be "exposed" in the POST (which it probably won't be in the post he is using) so the only option is to find a post that has it in the initial settings as "refDistance = ##" (in mm in the regardless of what unit you are running in SheetCAM) Just set it to some low number and it will touch off on every pierce. The number represents the total travel istance of X and Y axis since the last touch off. Edit the POST in SheetCAM .

Can't he just add it to the beginning of the post he is using if it isn't already there? What is SheetCam using to space the references if it isn't set in the post? It seems to be referencing more than just the initial time.
