Scaling and/or Rotating a File Once in SheetCam

Post by Bobkovacs »

So, I've found tons of posts about importing a drawing into SheetCam at the proper scale, but can't find an answer to this question- once I have the drawing into SheetCam, is there a way to scale it up or down and/or rotate the drawing? Say I bring a file in and it's 24"x36", but I want to cut it at 12"x18", and I want to flip in 90 degrees to fit a blank space on my material- can that be done?

You can't scale in SheetCam but you can rotate. There are several options for rotation. At the bottom of the main window are boxes ashowing the part position and rotation. You can eneter values in these boxes. Alternatively in nesting mode you can use the , and . keys to rotate your part.

You can also move the object by changing the X and Y pos values. If you use the lower left as home the values are the distance from the bottom and left edges of the screen. It does not add or subtract from the value, it changes to what you enter, if you enter .250 in the value it will move to 1/4" from the edge. Did not change the Y value.
