DXF file will not open in Sheetcam

Post by Ribbedgiraffe »

Alright everyone, I'm back with more questions, this time with Sheetcam. I'm absolutely certain its something I'm doing wrong again, but I have no idea where to start.

Attached is a file I created in AutoCAD 2017, It is a very simple lower section to a bumper I am building for my Jeep. When opening in Sheetcam the Screen goes black, and has a yellow and Orange circle with some dots.

FYI - It opens fine in AutoCAD 2007 And Draftsight, the issue is in Sheetcam. (I have not updated to a newer version of sheetcam either, for fear of other variables at this time, my version is several years old)

Any guidance will be greatly appreciated.

Have you checked your scales? When I try to open it in Corel X7, it tells me the English size is 1.5mi x .15mi. Metric size is 107yds x 10yds. Can you re-save it as a different size? If I zoom in far enough, I get the word "Jeep" in 3 different places. Also, has some circles that look like they're being skewed in the display.

That's interesting, I have it setup in inches, and all the measurements show correctly when measuring on either autocad 2007 or 2017. I'll double check them tomorrow evening when I have a chance again.

Try ungrouping everything. There seems to be something odd going on with groups in the file. I will do some more testing.

I did notice something strange with the grouping but couldn't seem to correct it, I will play with it more when I get home.
