I will not allow me to import this SVG file Or the original from a post here s few days ago. I get a black screen with a white line at a 45 degree angle.

It is not specific to the latest update. There is something about that drawing that neither the stable or development versions like. I will run some tests and see what I can find.

Hi Tom & Les

sounds like something similar to what happened to me earlier in the year see: http://www.plasmaspider.com/viewtopic.php?f=77&t=20093

but maybe not, I am sure Les will come back with his answer and sort it ;)
Best Regards to all

I found the problem. There was an error in a matrix transformation so when that transformation was applied it totally trashed the coordinates. As far as I can see this bug only shows up if you have groups. It will be fixed in the next release.

Exapprentice, the drawing in the thread you linked is a different issue. It looks like the xml parser is throwing an error when it tries to read the file. I need to do more testing on this one as the xml parser isn't code I have ever looked at and it is pretty complex.

Thanks for the replies
Les this is the only file that it happens with, SheetCam works great for other files. I have contacted the OP to see what software he used to make the SVG drawing file. His other posted file in DXF worked fine with SheetCam.
I just happened in coincidence with the last release 6.1.32 but as I said nothing else has a problem.
