limit switch activated

Post by wilkies »

anyone know why i keep getting a limit switch activated signal when the torch shuts off with m05 or the torch passes the edge of the metal. it activates a limit switch after the m05 shutoff maybe twice on a 20 letter sign cutout even with thc off.

Have you looked at the Diagnostic page to which switch is tripped or is it just making the reset come on with not indications of which switch.
If you can see if its one switch all the time it could be a noisy switch just change short around it.
If its no switch then you have noise on the system causing the reset to tip.

Ok what you need to make is a small jumper to short each switch one at a time to find the one causing the problems.
Just to clarify do you have the 3 axis limits tied to one pin and the floating head on another one separately. I have all my limits, home, and floating head switches on one pin and the ohmic sensor on a separate pin.
After reading your first post do you have THC electronics on your table if so you may be seeing this as a result of loosing ARC OK.
I don't remember what error I get when the torch goes outside the metal.

Go into mach, and Confiq/General Confiq/ find the debounce setting and move it up 25.. Keep going until the problem goes away.

Top one.. debounce interval is the one to bump the # up.. Leave the index debounce set to zero.. I asked Tom years ago about that one, and it's not something we need to worry about. So I never have.. :)
