Plasmacam Draw Text Issue

I recently purchased a new laptop (running windows 7) to do my designing and drawing. When I try to draw text in the plasmacam software, I set the height for the text, the text box pops open, type the text, select the font and click OK, But the text does not appear on the drawing??? I have opened the windows font folder all fonts that i require are selected. I've downloaded new fonts, and they appear in the windows folder and in the plasmacam software fonts. It's just not drawing any of them. I have operated this software for nearly 7 years without a hitch, and the machine computer (running XP) still draws text fine. I have installed the 3.11 software upgrade on the new laptop and machine computer. Makes me think there is an issue with windows 7 and plasmacam not communicating the fonts?? Has any one else encoutered this problem? Any help would be appreciated.

I encountered that problem one time , but all i did was restart my computer and it worked

and you might have the text to big or to small

It could be a memory shortage.
Even my dedicated computer, built for the PCam table, gets slow with text.

Give it several minutes to render the text.

Just wait on it. It takes awhile.

Make sure you have no more than 1000 fonts in the Windows Font folder. Windows does not like more than that.
If the fonts have an ampersand in front of the name, that is not a compatible font.
