not sure where to post this but im wondering how to edit a file

Post by MosquitoCreekDesign »

ok so ive downloaded a few files from here. a simple cat and owl. problem is that the file is drawn with the torch returning to home over and over when i show cut paths. this makes it take 100x longer to cut a simple cat or the owl. so where might i find a way to correct or clean up these files? i am running a torchmate system with cadcam9.0 from what i can tell? any help or point me in the right direction would be greatly appreciated! i am new to this so thanks for the help!

Not familiar with what Torchmate shows for cut paths but have you tried to cut the file? If the torch returns to home prior to cutting each new path it is not the file but your setup of the software that creates the cut paths.
I would inquire at Torchmate or there is a Torchmate forum on here under the CNC Plasma Table & Plasma Cutter Discussion Forum, perhaps ask there.
