I'm not familiar with FASTCAM, but your file is a little weird. When I open it in Rhino 3D (our CAD program) or VCarve Pro (for our CNC router) the file looks fine, it's just really, really big (306,708 inches wide). Everything looks fine, just big. When I open it in Inkscape, it says there are 3 objects in a group, but nothing shows up even when I change line and fill visibility.

Are you using a 'scale' function to resize it? I've seen my kids try to drag things to size in various programs, and sometimes it does weird things. Or, they have accidentally scaled it in only 1 axis, or including the Z axis when they should have been working flat. When you scale it, it should keep the same perspective.

I scaled this to 525 mm tall in Rhino, and it looks good in Rhino & Inkscape, so hopefully this will work for you.

Hi Tim..many thanks for your help....file opened at right size but still had the overlapping lines and even some extra circles this time....I did the CAD COMPRESS function followed by a CAD CLEAN and ended up with about a third of the original lines remaining....I might be missing something in the process perhaps....

A few of the lines/nodes were messed up but I think it's good now.

Set it to 525 mm high.

Hi I just tried the file ...looks all good to cut...however the actual size comes out at 240mm and when I try to expand to the cut size required it leaves lines and curves out of the part....just to be clear the 2 required cut sizes are 525mm and 288mm on the big letters R.... you have made better progress than I have so far......many thanks

Fastcam is the CAM software, what is your machine? Mach3?

What gauge of metal? Where I see issues is the kerf width and overlapping. Might have to adjust the spacing between the letters and fix the h.
Let me know and I can try and tweak one.
