Draftsight to sigmanest parts are very small

Post by cstroke »

Weird one that is driving me nuts.
When I import a file that I drew in draftsight directly into sigmanest the parts are very small. An example is a square piece that is drawn at 12"X12" in sigmanest it's .4724x .4724.
Same exact drawing I import into arbor image and re save as a dxf and then into sigmanest the part is 12x12 like it's supposed to be.
I'm sure its something easy but I haven't been able to figure it out.
I also drew the same part in draftsight from another computer and saved it to dropbox and imported into sigmanest and the part is correct so I'm assuming it's a setting on this version of draftsight.

Thanks
Chris

Well I don't know about Sigmanest but those number fit if you are drawing in inches and saving in MM see attached.

Hmnnnnn. weird LOL..
I wonder why it's set up that way.
I never gave metric a thought.
Thanks
Chris
Edited: Ok went to draftsight and under format it was set as millimeters, changed to inches and I'm good to go. Thanks for kicking my brain into gear, sometimes it takes more than one kick to make things happen.
Thanks again.
