how to resize?

Post by rhinocut »

hello all

I am new to all of this. I have just set up a multicam table with 260HPR hypertherm and I am slowly teaching myself the ropes.
when I try to cut a file from this site most seem to be tiny when I nest the file to cut and they actually cut very small as well. I realise that the resizing process would seem like second nature to an experienced cutter but at this stage I have no idea how to scale up the file for cutting.

can anyone tell me how this is done?

Check the scaling when you import a drawing. Maybe its using mm instead of inches.

What drawing software are you using? I rescale almost everything I download.

Download the free 2D version of SolidEdge. Open the .dxf, highlight the entire drawing the select the " scale " from the drop down tab, select a base point of the drawing then drag upwards to what ever size you want. It will maintains all the ratios.
