I want to learn how to trace?

Post by ltbald1 »

Anyone have a good youtube video of how to do a tracing for plasma cnc? Which program seems to do the best overall job? Any advice on how to get started or videos and books would be greatly appreciated.

I would suggest Inkscape. You can find many videos on YOUTUBE by just typing in Inkscape, or SIGNTORCH who has many instructional videos on there. A big plus is that when you get an understanding of Inkscape( a FREE program) you can use what you have learned in most any other program that you pay GOOD money for. :D :D :D

If you have an image in mind I wouldn't care to make a video tutorial on some techniques to trace it. I use Adobe Illustrator so it will be a bit different than Inkscape, but the techniques are still the same.

Print out the image and lay some tracing paper over it. When your finished, scan it into your computer and your all set. From there you can clean it up all you want.
