designing scroll work?

How do you all draw or design your scroll work? Do you do it all with bezier curves or is there software that has scroll design tools?

I use CorelDraw, and it has a design tool for scrolls. I imagine inkscape has the same tool, and is free.

Thank you. I downloaded Inkscape and found the scroll tool.
I looked for a mirroring tool in Inkscape but couldn't find one. Is there a mirror feature?
Does Coral Draw have a lot more feature assets than Inkscape? I am very proficient with normal CAD but this artsy stuff is a whole new ball game!

I've only used Inkscape a few times so I'm not at all proficient with it. I imagine there is a mirror function, but off the top of my head I can't tell you where it is. From what I've read, the two programs are very similar. I started out with CorelDraw, and that's what I'm most familiar with. I'm sure some Inkscape users will chime in here with better answers to your questions. I agree, this artsy stuff is quite different from the CAD world. Most of my work tends toward the CAD side of things, but I've found that CorelDraw is quite sufficient for 95% of what I do.

In Inkscape you flip the drawing with these 4 icons, I copied the first and then pasted and flipped it as shown.
