Best software to convert files

I am looking for advice on what software y'all use to quickly and accurately convert/trace files for cutting. I see so many that request a trace, someone traces and posts within just a short while. I know there's Illustrator and Corel Draw, but what other programs do y'all go to for a quick and most importantly, accurate trace.

Inkscape does a great job for me. Still haven't seen that font show up in my message inbox.
